Amendola and Brady Clicking in OTAs

According to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald the two have noticeable chemistry on the football field and Brady has complimented Amendola’s work ethic. Amendola said “We’re just trying to get the most work we can in” – It’s still early, just trying to go from there and try to be the best we can be in the given time that we have.”
Though Amendola might not be an exact replica of Brady’s former favorite target Wes Welker, Amendola is showing enough similarity to make Brady seem slightly more comfortable with him than with the other receivers so far. Still, I believe the wide receiver spot is an open competition with Aaron Dobson, Michael Jenkins, Donald Jones and Lavelle Hopkins.
One thing that separates Amendola from the rest is he has a sense of this offense having played under Josh McDaniels with the Rams in 2011. They both understand that a connection like Brady-to-Welker doesn’t just happen overnight, but will take time. Time is something they are both clearly willing to give in order to make the Brady-to-Amendola connection just as successful.
