Urlacher recalls getting his ankles broken by Brady

For how amazing he is at the quarterback position, it is truly shocking how goofy and painfully slow Tom Brady is on the run. No matter what, it is always good for a laugh when he manages to escape the pocket on foot. Typically, it does not end well, but over the years, he has had a few shining moments on the run. The best probably being his TD scramble in the Snow Bowl (although even that ended with an extremely ungraceful spike).

And then there was the time he completely shook once-fearsome linebacker Brian Urlacher, who recently announced his retirement from the NFL. In week twelve of the 2006 season, the Pats defeated Urlacher's bears 17-13, during which Brady had a crucial 11 yard first down scramble in the fourth quarter. And in the middle of the scramble, something awesome happened:

No one saw that one coming, including Urlacher, who admitted in an interview that Brady owned him on that play, and throughout his career as a whole (Quote from BostonHerald.com):

Brady always kicked my butt. I don't think I ever beat Tom, we as a Bears team, ever beat Tom Brady when he was the starting quarterback. He always played well against us, and he juked me out of my shoes in 2006. Man, he got me

While I doubt we will see many (if any) scrambles like that from TB between now and the end of his career, that play will surely be on his career highlight reel.
