Aaron Hernandez has shoulder surgery, will miss OTAs
Tom Brady's receiving targets keep taking hits. First, Wes Welker leaves for Denver. Next, Rob Gronkowski has an infection in his broken forearm and could potentially miss the beginning of the season. Now, Aaron Hernandez is having surgery and will miss some off-season activities.
NFL.com:
Tight end Aaron Hernandez underwent shoulder surgery earlier this offseason and likely will miss OTAs and minicamp this spring, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday morning.
Citing two sources, Rapoport said Hernandez will likely be ready by training camp. It is unclear when the injury occurred.
At least the Patriot signed Michael Hoomanawanui yesterday. I would rather have all these injuries and surgeries be happening now than in the season, so there's that.
Hernandez recently stated that he wanted to play all 16 games, if having this surgery helps accomplish that, I guess I'm ok with it.
