Patriots remaining cap space

Heading into Free Agency, the Patriots had a shocking amount of cap space that opened a number of doors for them. After deciding not to give WR Wes Welker the big contract that he was seeking, the Patriots addressed a few of their weaknesses.

WR Danny Amendola was signed as Welker's replacement and key veterans like target="_blank"Leon Washington and Adrian Wilson were picked up as well. Former Bills WR Donald Jones was also signed as Brandon Lloyd was then released due to a failed contract restructuring between himself and the team. CB's Aqib Talib and Kyle Arrington will be staying in Foxboro also. Will Svitek was also signed for offensive line insurance.

So where do we go from here? With a number of notable moves, how much money the Patriots still have exactly? According to Greg Bedard, there's still plenty of money in the bank:

With over $15 million still on the table, the Patriots may try to begin contract talks with Sebastian Vollmer. The Free Agent lineman will be expecting big bucks, with Jake Long's contract setting the precedent. Now, as Josh Brown pointed out, the team has to reserve roughly $5 million of their remaining cap room for the players they will pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Don't expect the team to give Vollmer the huge contract that he's seeking. There have also been rumors of WR Emmanuel Sanders that have been floating around.
