Tom Brady voted to Sporting News' All-Pro Team
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady finally got a little more recognition for his great season. After failing to make the cut for the AP All-Pro Team, Brady has been chosen for the Sporting News' All-Pro Team. A number of you may not understand the significance of this (I didn't really understand at first either), but this is actually a significant accomplishment.
Sporting News polls over 800 NFL players, coaches and executives to see who they believe to be the best of the best, whereas the AP team is selected by the Associated Press. Not trying to knock the AP, but it's cool to see who the players, coaches, and executives vote for (remember, the Pro Bowl also accepts fan votes). So, although Brady isn't one to dwell over his awards, being selected as the lone quarterback for the team is a great feat. It's clearly evident that Brady has the respect and admiration of his peers all throughout the league.
