ESPN jumps Patriots to #1 team in the NFL

As you can see clearly for yourself above, the Patriots were number three last week. However, demolishing the team that was previously number 1 will probably earn you that number one spot.

I guess it's great to get respect from ESPN, but I hate power rankings. In the game of football, anyone can win any game. The Patriots probably are the most complete team in the NFL but they've also lost to the Cardinals. That doesn't mean they're not good but just that, it doesn't matter where you rank in the league, anyone can win.

That's never more true than in the playoffs. The only thing I care about as a fan is seeding and records. It's probably all the Patriots care about either.

Anyway the line on Atlanta is pretty hilarious.
