Wooooooow. I did NOT see this coming. This is by far the biggest in-season pickup of Belichick's career. I assume they must have had this in mind when they cut Sterling Moore yesterday. I mean, wow, just wow. This is shocking. Talib is much maligned, and is currently serving a 4 game suspension for Aderall use (sounds like he and Brandon Spikes will get along). He is due to be back this Sunday, but obviously will not play till next weekend. Obviously, Bill hasn't been too happy with the secondary, and he just made another one of his calculated low risk-high reward type move. We don't know what they gave up, but my guess is a 4th or 5th rounder. Something around that area. This bye week couldn't have came at a better time for the Pats as it allows them to integrate Talib into the mix for the stretch run and playoffs. Maybe we will finally hear less bitching about the secondary...one can dream. As always, follow me @CultOfBelichick
Update: Brandon Spikes Approves
