Patriots fill open roster spot with CB Malcolm Williams

Williams was on the practice squad and he earns himself a promotion after Ras-I went down for the season again.

At first you might say, who the hell cares?

But then you could look at the Patriots secondary and honestly, how can he be much worse? I'm for bringing as many new people in and just seeing what happens at this point.

Former Patriots practice squadder Tony Carter just had an interception, 2 pass defenses and 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown the last time he stepped on the field for the Broncos. There's the slight potential that Malcolm Williams could be really good here. Regardless, he'll be mainly just depth at this point and unless the Patriots corner are really getting badly beaten - worse than usual - than Williams likely won't see the field.
