Did Bill Belichick try to challenge a turnover? Cause that's a 15 yard penalty
Per @footballzebras, Hernandez’s fumble shouldn’t have even been reviewed b/c Belichick threw flag at illegal moment. Jets would have won.

The Hernandez play controversy is now moot. The NFL has ruled that no challenge flag was thrown, per a league spokesman.

Then again, NFL also officially ruled Golden Tate TD was simultaneous possession. So … not exactly operating from a position of strength.

When I was going through the Comments from the Other Side I noticed a ton of Jets fans calling attention to this.
Apparently Jim Nantz said on the broadcast that Belichick did throw it, however no action was taken. Nantz made his fair share of mistakes yesterday though.
It would seem that Belichick actually did not in fact throw the challenge flag, however. The evidence of there not being a penalty and the NFL officially stating that he didn't throw it would appear to back that up.
I wouldn't expect that to stop Jets fans from complaining about that though. If anyone has some video evidence of Belichick throwing the flag, please send it in.
