Bad For Houston, Good For New England.
The rivals of the New England Patriots keep getting weaker. First the Baltimore Ravens lose Terrell Suggs for much of the season. Then the New York Jets lose Darrelle Revis for the season. And now, the Houston Texans have received some bad news:
Texans HC Gary Kubiak on LB Brian Cushing: "It’s what we thought. He tore his ACL and we lost him for the year."Although I'm an NFL fan, not just a Pats fan, and want to see the best players playing all the time, I couldn't help but to look at this selfishly. This guy is crazy. All out crazy. And he's one hell of a linebacker, and a key part of this Texans defense. And while that defense still looks pretty intimidating, it makes one of the Patriots key rivals for the AFC crown weaker.

The Texans stand in our way in Week 14, in what looks like it will be a key clash for seeding, and then they'll probably meet again in the playoffs. Brian Cushing is the heart and soul of the defense, and with him gone, this unit might be easier for the Patriots to handle. Now just to figure out how to stop J.J. Watt...
In case you haven't seen this, this is Cushing mic'd up in last years clash with the Cleveland Browns... Crazy.
