Is Brady the best ever?

Brady was in the title so I knew I'd get 97,000 hits. Yes, bloggers want to get read. We are human beings and want to be noticed. Tom Brady is widely considered one of the top 10 quarterbacks ever right now. Probably the top 5. But, what would it take for him to get to #1?  I think he needs one more Super Bowl.

Look, what Brady has done in his career is incredible, but losing two Super Bowls in a row is a definite black mark on his career. The only thing that can erase that is another Super Bowl title. If he wins four than in my opinion the debate is over. The NFL has so much parity right now and the fact that Brady  has gone to five Super Bowls the last decade is insane. Right now the haters are saying, "He had a great team around him." Antwan Smith and Troy Brown on offense? Shush your mouth. He's lost two Super Bowls in a row because the Giants are the absolute worst match up of all time. I'd rather play the '85 Bears defense than them.

Consistency is the mark of greatness in any field, but especially sports. Brady has been to the playoffs all but one year of his career(when he was playing). He's delivered countless clutch performances. He's set records and won MVPs. He's been successful with receivers like Jabar Gaffney and Andre Caldwell. He's married to Giselle(you know I had to throw that in there). Yes, I have a man crush on Tom Brady and so should you.

This can all be summed up by a comment my buddy made last night. He said, "Dustin Keller would be the best tight end in the league if Brady was his quarterback." Totally false statement, but this came from a guy who hates the Patriots more than (insert bad joke). We are lucky to have Brady and need to cherish the excellence he shows week in and week out. Brady is the best ever in my mind right now, but needs one more to be the unanimous G.O.A.T
