So, Wes Welker almost got arrested the other night

The New York Post reports that Patriots receiver Wes Welker and six friends, while apparently partying in advance of Welker’s wedding, tried to crash a party held in connection with the Aspen Food & Wine Classic. Security officials “tackled” the members of the group, but they thereafter continued to demand to be let in to the event.

...Police reportedly threatened to arrest Welker and his pre-nuptial posse, and they eventually calmed down and left the premises.

It sounds a lot worse than it really is. I guess Welker should know better than to try to drunkenly crash a party given that he's a public figure trying to get a long term deal from his team and all..

This probably doesn't help on that front, but no harm was done in the end.
