Jake Bequette officially signs four-year deal

Patriots make it official with DL Jake Bequette. The 3rd-round pick has been signed to a 4-year deal.

Bequette is a defensive end who was drafted by the Patriots in the third round. Now Dont'a Hightower is the only rookie left unsigned.

Those in the Boston area that listen to 98.5 The Sports Hub might remember Bequette as the player that Michael Felger picked the Patriots to select in the draft.

Here's some analysis from Mike Reiss on how Bequette has looked so far through OTAs and minicamps.

"Stouter than [Chandler] Jones, Bequette was part of a rotation at defensive end in 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills," wrote Reiss. "While it's difficult to gauge pass-rushing ability during non-contact practices, Bequette did register a would-be sack during minicamp."
